Dana Hunsinger Benbow

A new breed of traveling tailors — who swoop in from Hong Kong, measure up locals in 30 minutes then ship their ultra-customized suits within weeks — is making a stop here.

Hiras Fashion, headquartered in Kowloon, will send master tailor Kavi Mirpuri and his crew to Carmel and Indianapolis April 20-22.

The company, which books hotel suites in the cities it visits, prides itself on bespoke tailoring for both men and women.

Translation: Ultra personalized and custom-made suits and shirts. Pick a fabric swatch from the latest patterns and designers, such as Dormeuil and Shiell. Choose a skirt style. Add details like blazer buttons and stitching.

Hiras has been traveling the world with its high-end tailoring for the past year, landing in places like Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Belgium.

For its visit here, Hiras will set up shop at the JW Marriott and Renaissance Indianapolis North in Carmel.

Prices for handmade suits start at $649, with shirts starting at $89.
