IMA 2014 'Summer Nights' film series schedule

The Indianapolis Museum of Art announced its 2014 Summer Nights film series.

The Indianapolis Museum of Art has announced the lineup for its 2014 Summer Nights film series.

Now in its 39th season, the series, sponsored by The National Bank of Indianapolis, invites patrons to bring their own picnics, blankets, and lawn chairs out for an evening under the stars at the museum's amphitheater.

Running June 6 through Aug. 29, films range from classics like "Breakfast at Tiffany's" to films like "Mean Girls" and "Flashdance." Tickets go on sale to non-members Thursday, May 15.

June 13: "Friday the 13th" (1980)
June 20: "The Jerk" (1979)
June 27: "The French Connection" (1971)
July 4: No film, in recognition of Independence Day
July 11: "Vertigo" (1958)
July 18: "Hook" (1991)
July 25: "Flashdance" (1983)
Aug. 1: "American Graffiti" (1973)
Aug. 8: "Clue" (1985)
Aug. 15: "The Odd Couple" (1968)
Aug. 22: "Mean Girls" (2004)
Aug. 29: "The Godfather" (1972)

As always the movies are subject to change and no, you still can't bring alcoholic beverages in, although they are for sale at the concession stand.
