The Adidas Gauntlet brought some of the top high school basketball talent in the country to Fishers Fieldhouse this weekend. I caught up with De'Ron Davis, a 6-10, 230-pound forward in the 2016 class from Colorado. Davis is ranked No. 23 in his class by Rivals and is playing up a year with the Colorado Hawks on the Adidas Gauntlet circuit. Indiana offered Davis as a freshman and he's making an unofficial visit for the first time on Monday.

Here's a Q&A with Davis from this weekend:

What's the latest in your recruitment?

"Nothing really too new. I did pick up (interest from) Louisville. That's a new school after me."

What's Louisville's message to you?

"They told me they are going to come after me hard. That's really all. They are going to start looking at me more."

Are you hearing from Kenny Johnson (the former Indiana assistant, now at Louisville)?

"Yeah, I talked to him and (Rick Pitino), too."

Where do things stand with Indiana?

"Everything is good. They call a lot. (Indiana) and Colorado are coming at me pretty good."

How did your high school season go at Aurora Overland?

"We lost in the Final Four by 12 to the team that won (state). I just tried to expand my game a little more this year and get stronger."

What's up next for you?

"I'm hoping to get to Indiana (on Monday). I haven't been there before, just to (Colorado) and Arkansas."

What are your offers now?

"Colorado, Arkansas, Indiana and a couple more, but not sure."

What are your goals for the summer?

"Just to continue to get stronger, build a better motor, work on ballhandling skills and my overall game."

Davis averaged 17 points, six rebounds and 2.2 blocked shots in five games this weekend and the Colorado Hawks went 3-2.

-- Another top Indiana target, 2016 Californian T.J. Leaf, picked up an offer from Iowa on Monday. The 6-10 Leaf, ranked No. 17 in his class by Rivals, was also planning to visit Michigan on Monday before returning home from the Adidas Gauntlet.

Arizona, UCLA, Indiana and Michigan are among the schools pursuing Leaf the hardest. As reported last July, he has strong ties to the state, as his father Bradplayed at Lawrence North and the University of Evansville. The Leafs still have family in the area.

-- Update from earlier today on Pike 2015 forward Tahjai Teague, who will be a name to watch this summer.
